Tables Built With Heart and Heritage

Heirloom quality isn't an accident.

Dan learned woodworking in Louisiana, where furniture was how you showed hospitality and built a home that felt like it had always been there. We believe furniture should be both beautiful and built to last, but more than that, we understand that every piece carries a story. Your table's story starts with the tree, continues through Dan's hands, and finds its purpose where your family gathers.

Traditional mortise and tenon joinery connects these tables using techniques passed down through generations of Southern craftsmen.

In Louisiana, "lagniappe" means that little something extra. For us, it's hand-selecting wood with dramatic grain, preserving live edges, and rubbing in finish coats by hand. These touches aren't upsells. They're how we think furniture should be built when it's meant to last for generations.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to build my custom table?

Most tables take 6-8 weeks from design approval to delivery. Timeline depends on our current project queue, wood selection, and design complexity. Rush orders may be available for an additional fee. We'll give you an exact timeline during your consultation which you can schedule here.

How do I know which wood to choose?

It comes down to color preference and your home's style. Walnut offers deep, rich brown tones perfect for dramatic spaces. Cherry starts warm and darkens beautifully over time. White oak brings classic Southern elegance. Maple stays light and works in modern settings. During consultation, we'll show you samples so you can see and feel the difference.

How do I care for my table?

Wipe up spills promptly with a damp cloth. Use trivets or hot pads under hot dishes. Avoid harsh cleaners or abrasive scrubbing. For oil finishes, reapply food-safe oil once or twice a year. For polyurethane finishes, just regular dusting and occasional damp wiping. We provide detailed care instructions with every table.

Do you deliver and install?

We offer white glove delivery service where we bring your table into your home, position it exactly where you want it, level it if needed, and make sure everything is perfect. Delivery fees vary based on location and are quoted separately. You're also welcome to pick up your table directly from our North Carolina workshop.

What if my table gets damaged years from now?

Solid hardwood can be repaired and refinished. Small scratches and dents add character over time. Deeper damage can usually be sanded out and refinished. Because we build with full-thickness wood, your table can be refinished multiple times over its lifetime. Contact us anytime and we'll talk you through repair options or bring it back to the shop if needed.
