Disclaimer
Last Updated: January 25, 2026
The information provided by Lagniappe Woodworks (“Lagniappe,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) on this website and through our communications is for general informational purposes only. By using this website, requesting information, or placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.
If you have questions about these terms, please contact us at [email protected] or (984) 584-8910.
1) Informational Purpose Only
All content on this website, including pricing, product descriptions, availability, timelines, photos, and specifications, is provided for general information. Nothing on this website constitutes a binding offer, guarantee, or contract.
Any purchase is governed only by the written terms included in your approved quote, invoice, and any signed agreement provided by Lagniappe Woodworks.
2) Custom, Built-to-Order Nature of Our Work
Lagniappe tables are custom-made and built to order. Because each piece is handcrafted, the final product may include minor variations from website photos, sample images, or prior builds. These variations are normal and are part of what makes custom work distinct from mass-produced furniture.
3) Natural Wood Variation and Character
Wood is a natural material. Every board is unique, and variations are expected. These variations are not defects and may include, but are not limited to:
- Differences in grain pattern, figure, and natural chatoyance (shimmer)
- Color variation between boards and within a single board
- Knots, mineral streaks, pin knots, and small natural inclusions
- Subtle checking, flecking, or growth marks typical for the species
- Variation caused by how wood absorbs stain and finish
We make intentional choices when selecting boards and matching grain, but we cannot guarantee an exact visual match to any prior piece or photograph.
4) Seasonal Movement and Environmental Conditions
Solid hardwood furniture expands and contracts naturally due to changes in humidity and temperature. Seasonal movement is normal and expected.
Environmental factors that can affect wood include:
- Very dry or very humid indoor conditions
- Placement near HVAC vents, fireplaces, radiators, or direct sunlight
- Large swings in seasonal humidity
- Spills, standing water, and prolonged moisture exposure
Minor movement, subtle texture shifts, or small finish changes over time are not considered defects. Proper care and stable indoor conditions help preserve the table for decades.
5) Dimensions, Drawings, and Final Specifications
Measurements listed on this website are examples only. All final specifications are confirmed during the design approval stage and documented in writing.
For custom work, slight tolerances may occur due to handcrafting, natural material movement, and finishing processes. If your project requires exact clearances (doorways, stairwells, tight alcoves, built-ins), you are responsible for communicating those constraints before production begins.
6) Pricing, Lead Times, and Availability
Pricing shown on this website is provided as a starting point and may change without notice due to:
- Hardwood and material availability
- Supplier pricing changes
- Project complexity and customization
- Finishing requirements and curing time
- Shop schedule and workload
Lead times are estimates provided in good faith. Actual timelines may change due to material availability, finishing and curing requirements, shipping conditions, or unforeseen shop constraints. We will communicate meaningful changes as early as possible.
7) Deposits, Build Slots, and Order Confirmation
A deposit may be required to reserve a build slot. Deposits and payment schedules are defined in your written quote or invoice.
Until a deposit is received and your project is confirmed in writing, your requested lead time is not guaranteed.
8) Finishes, Color Accuracy, and Samples
We make every effort to represent finishes accurately, but appearance varies due to:
- Lighting and photography conditions
- Screen settings and color calibration
- The unique character and undertones of each wood species
- How wood absorbs stain and finish
Because of these variables, website photos and digital renderings are not guaranteed to match the final piece exactly. Material and finish samples may be available upon request, subject to availability and project scope.
9) Care Instructions and Use
Lagniappe tables are designed for everyday use, but proper care matters. Damage resulting from misuse, neglect, or improper cleaning is not considered a defect. Examples include:
- Heat marks from hot pans placed directly on the surface
- Water rings or damage from standing liquids
- Scratches from abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or gritty debris
- Cuts from direct contact with knives or sharp objects
- Damage from moving the table improperly or dragging across flooring
We recommend using coasters, trivets, felt pads, and gentle cleaners appropriate for fine furniture.
10) Repairs, Refinishing, and Long-Term Maintenance
Solid hardwood furniture can often be repaired and refinished. Natural wear over time is normal. Refinishing needs vary based on use, environment, and care practices.
Any repair, touch-up, or refinishing performed by a third party may affect the appearance and performance of the table and may impact any warranty coverage described in your written agreement.
11) Delivery, Installation, and Site Conditions
If delivery or white-glove service is provided, you are responsible for ensuring reasonable access and safe conditions, including:
- Accurate measurements of doorways, hallways, stairwells, elevators, and turns
- Clear pathways free of obstacles, pets, or hazards
- Proper floor protection if required for your space
- Adequate staffing or assistance if site conditions require it and it is not included in your delivery plan
Additional fees may apply if special handling, delays, or extra labor is required due to site conditions not disclosed in advance.
Risk of loss and delivery terms, if applicable, are defined in your written invoice or agreement.
12) Designer Trade Program Disclaimer
Trade pricing and trade services are available to qualified professionals and may require verification. Specific trade terms, pricing, and scope are provided only in writing and may vary by project.
13) No Warranty Unless Stated in Writing
Except as expressly stated in a written agreement provided by Lagniappe Woodworks, this website and its contents are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Any warranty or service commitments for a purchased item, if offered, will be defined in your written documentation.

- Use of this website or reliance on its content
- Delays in production or delivery estimates
- Variations in wood, finish, or appearance

- Third-party services, shipping, or installation not performed by us
If liability is found, our maximum liability will not exceed the amount you paid Lagniappe Woodworks for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim, unless a different limit is required by law.
