Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: January 25, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Lagniappe Woodworks website and any purchase, quote request, or engagement with Lagniappe Woodworks (“Lagniappe,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing this website, requesting a quote, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

Questions? Contact us at [email protected] or (984) 584-8910.

1) Definitions

  • “Custom Furniture” means made-to-order pieces built to specifications confirmed in writing.
  • “Order” means a confirmed purchase evidenced by an invoice/quote accepted in writing and, when required, a deposit payment.
  • “Client” means the person or entity requesting services or purchasing products from Lagniappe.
  • “Deliverables” means the table(s) or furniture item(s) described in your written documentation.

2) Website Use

You agree to use this website for lawful purposes only. You may not misuse, interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to this website, servers, or systems.

Content is provided for general information and may change without notice. We do not guarantee that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.

3) Quotes, Pricing, and Scope

Prices shown on the website (including “starting at” prices) are estimates for general guidance. Final pricing is determined by size, materials, design details, finish selections, delivery requirements, and current material costs.

Quotes are valid for the period stated on the quote (or, if no period is stated, for a reasonable time) and may be subject to change until an Order is confirmed and any required deposit is received.

Your project scope is defined only by the written quote/invoice and any written specifications approved by you. Requests outside the agreed scope may require a revised quote.

4) Custom Nature of Solid Wood Furniture

All Lagniappe Woodworks pieces are handcrafted. Natural variation in solid hardwood is expected and not considered a defect. Variations may include changes in grain, color, knots, mineral streaks, and other natural characteristics.

Solid wood naturally expands and contracts with changes in humidity and temperature. Minor seasonal movement is normal. You are responsible for maintaining reasonable indoor conditions and following care guidelines.

5) Design Approval and Final Specifications

Prior to production, we will confirm final dimensions, wood species, finish, and key design details in writing. Your approval of these details authorizes us to begin production.

Once production begins, changes may not be possible. If changes are requested and feasible, they may affect price and timeline and will require written approval of revised terms.

6) Deposits and Payments

A deposit may be required to reserve a build slot. Deposits and payment schedules are stated in your quote/invoice. Unless otherwise specified in writing, deposits are applied to the total purchase price.

Late payments may delay production, delivery, or release of the finished piece. We reserve the right to pause work until account balances are current.

7) Cancellations and Order Changes

Because our furniture is custom and built to order, cancellations and refunds are limited. Cancellation terms (if any) will be stated in your written invoice or agreement.

If you request changes after approval, we will do our best to accommodate if production stage allows, but we cannot guarantee changes will be possible. Approved changes may result in additional charges and timeline adjustments.

8) Lead Times and Scheduling

Lead times are estimates provided in good faith and may change due to material availability, finishing/curing requirements, shop capacity, or other factors. We will communicate meaningful changes as early as possible.

We are not responsible for delays outside our control, including supplier delays, shipping carrier delays, weather, access issues at the delivery location, or client scheduling conflicts.

9) Delivery, Installation, and Access

Delivery options and any associated fees are stated in your quote/invoice. If delivery or white-glove service is included, you are responsible for ensuring safe and reasonable access.

Please confirm measurements for doorways, hallways, stairwells, elevators, tight turns, and any constraints before delivery. Additional fees may apply for unexpected site conditions, delays, additional labor, or rescheduling.

Risk of loss and delivery terms (including pickup terms if applicable) will be defined in your invoice or written agreement.

10) Care, Maintenance, and Normal Wear

Our finishes are designed for everyday use, but proper care is required. Damage caused by misuse, neglect, improper cleaning products, heat exposure, standing liquids, or cutting directly on the surface is not a manufacturing defect.

Normal wear (including minor scratches, dents, sheen changes, and patina) may occur over time and is expected for furniture meant to be used.

11) Warranty

Any warranty offered by Lagniappe Woodworks will be stated in writing in your invoice or agreement. If no written warranty is provided, the product is sold “as is” to the extent permitted by law.

Warranty coverage does not include damage resulting from accidents, misuse, improper care, environmental conditions, unauthorized repairs, refinishing by third parties, or normal wear and tear.

12) Photos, Color Accuracy, and Samples

We strive to represent products and finishes accurately, but color appearance varies due to lighting conditions and screen calibration. Photos are representative and not guaranteed to match the final piece exactly.

Finish or material samples may be available upon request, subject to availability and project scope.

13) Designer Trade Program

Trade pricing and services are available to qualified design professionals and may require verification. Trade terms and pricing are provided in writing and may vary by project.

14) Intellectual Property

All website content, including text, photographs, logos, and designs, is owned by Lagniappe Woodworks or used with permission and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without prior written consent.

15) Third-Party Links

This website may contain links to third-party websites or services. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.

16) Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lagniappe Woodworks will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of this website or any purchase, including delays, natural variation, environmental movement, or normal wear.

If liability is found, our maximum liability will not exceed the amount you paid Lagniappe Woodworks for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim, unless a different limit is required by law.

17) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lagniappe Woodworks from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the website, breach of these Terms, or violation of applicable law.

18) Privacy

Your use of this website is also subject to our Privacy Policy (if applicable). If a Privacy Policy is posted on this website, it is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

19) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be handled in the appropriate state or federal courts located in North Carolina, unless otherwise required by law.

20) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes become effective when posted. The “Last Updated” date reflects the most recent revision.
